Wanderbrief, World Merit and Hostelling International USA (HI USA) are organizing Hack for 2030, the world's first sustainable hackathon inside a hostel. For 5 days we will join forces with talents and global changemakers from all over the world to tackle the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  For those who wish just to participate in the 48-hour hackathon, there is the option to just stay for the 2 days.

There will be 5 teams of 6, with 2 developers per team.  Each team will have a different existing project that could use a tech solution to make it reach its full potential:

1. A radio program that makes educational resources accessible for Pakistani youth

2. A climate express bus that prepares people in Ghana for natural disasters

3. A program that makes feminine hygiene products available to women in Nepal and India

4. A gamification platform that raises awareness to plastic waste in Asia

5. An app for the United Nations World Tourism Organization to raise awareness to responsible tourism

Participants must be 18 years or older.

All nationalities are welcome.

Technology solutions will depend on input from team. It might be an app or it could be a website.  Developers should be ready for either.
